Prior to his involvement in venture capital, Brian used to work for the Data Services Department of China Mobile Communications Corporation, where he played an important role in formulating China Mobile’s Internet strategy and worked as a product manager for Internet based products such as Fetion (China Mobile’s Instant Messenger), 139 Email, and Mobile Search. Before that, he held engineer and strategy analyst roles with Beijing Mobile Communications Ltd., a provincial subsidiary of China Mobile, focusing on mobile value-added service and 3G technologies.

Brian brings to the Company years of experience on carrier policy formulation, product management and strategic research on the wireless internet.

Brian was born in China and holds a masters in Signal and Information Processing from Electronic Engineering Department of Tsinghua University and a bachelors in wireless communications engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He was recognized as a Lucent Global Science Scholar in 1999 and a member of Siemens International Students Circle in 2002.

Brian is also an expert martial artist specializing in Chinese kung fu. He also likes to play badminton and is a fan of live theater dramas.
