Kun Qian joined Matrix Partners China in 2010, and is responsible for identifying, screening and evaluating investment opportunities in TMT and education sectors. Prior to Matrix Partners, Kun Qian worked at BDA Consulting (a leading consulting firm providing market research, investment advisory and TMT industry insight services in Asia) as a consulting manager, where he led dozens of projects in evaluating investment opportunities and conducting commercial due diligence for a number of global hedge funds and private equity funds. Before BDA, he served in VIA Tech (a leading IC design company) as a project manager.
Kun Qian was born in China and holds a PhD, masters and bachelors in Precision Instruments from Tsinghua University.
In his spare time, Kun Qian enjoys basketball and hiking.
