Managing Partner

David Su is a Managing Partner of Matrix Partners China, focusing primarily on investments in internet, wireless, software services and medical technology sectors. Prior to joining Matrix China, David was a Partner at KPCB China and also a co-founder and General Partner of TDF Capital where he led the investments in AAC Acoustic (HKSE: 2018), Baidu.com (NASDAQ: BIDU), P-Cube (acquired by Cisco Systems), Kanghui Medical, Datou.com, Gmedia, NuBB.com and other companies.

Prior to his involvement in venture capital, David was the Managing Director of Greater China operations at Lotus Development, IBM. Between 1994 and 2000, David held various senior management and technology sales positions and was responsible for significantly growing Lotus' software and services business in the region.

Before Lotus Development, David held software development and management roles with the Port of Singapore Authority. David graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
