Michael is a Partner at Matrix Partners China. Previously, Michael joined WI Harper in 2002 as an investment analyst and has grown with the company for the past six years. Michael is responsible for leading investment opportunities in the digital media, e-commerce and consumer-driven service business models.

Michael brings to Matrix Partners China a very strong analytical skillset, and he played an instrumental role in WI Harper’s investment in Focus Media in 2004, working with David Zhang. Michael has recently been ranked by Zero2IPO as one of the top 10 rising stars of China’s Venture Capital Industry in 2006. Within Matrix Partners China, Michael is heavily involved with BabyTree. With respect to WI Harper, Michael was responsible for investments in Focus Media, HomeE, Troodon, and Panorama.

Michael was born in China and holds a M.S. in technological economics and management and a B.S. in management of information systems from Tsinghua University.

Michael is primarily responsible for Internet, wireless, and media sectors.
